Ellen is promoting online limited games on Wednesday evening and asked us to send this out:

Starting on Wednesday, October 9th, EBC will host three games simultaneously on BBO.

6:00 pm               18-board 199er game
6:15 pm               18-board 499er game
6:30 pm               Regular open game

It is very important that we support the 199er and 499er games.  Three tables are needed for each game to run.  If these games don’t succeed, the only none-open game will be the once a month 299er Unit Game, so please make an effort to play.

We specifically asked for 18 board games for the 199er and 499er games so that they don’t run for more than 2 hours.  If we decide later we’d like more boards, Don will change it.  The Albany/Corvallis Bridge Club has been invited in hopes of picking up a few more tables.

Can’t come to Seaside for D20’s Regional Tournament?  Tournament manager Jim Wheeler has added two 2-session events to be played online on BBO on Sunday, October 6.  There will be an Open game and a Gold Rush game where you can earn regionally-rated gold and red points. Game times are noon and 5:00 pm, PST. The games are open to D20 players only and are $17/session for ACBL members. You can register online on BBO starting on Saturday, October 5, at noon.

We have three tables confirmed for Saturday. Let’s round up at least 8 more players so we can have 5 full tables! Think of the fun of eating fabulous food at 9:00 and then playing bridge with your buddies at 9:30. As Uncle Sam used to say “WE WANT YOU!!!!!” Har!

This event runs September 16-21. Lots of opportunities to earn gold points. Here is the full information.

Don’t miss the Seaside Regional coming up September 30 – October 6. This is a hugely popular event in a fabulous setting. Lots of opportunities for newer players to earn points, including gold. And for advanced players, expect your competition to be tough! We always see top players from around the Northwest and beyond at Seaside.

Also in September is Portland’s Fall Sectional, held in Wilsonville September 13 -15.
