From Susie and Joyce:

We are excited to announce the return of the Mentor Mentee game! In brief, more experienced players will be partnered with less experienced players. The idea is for it to be FUN and helpful. Both the Mentors and Mentees can learn something.

This event will be on Saturday, January 27 at 9:30. That way, our working members can participate. There will be 2 sign up sheets at the club. One for Mentors and one for Mentees.

Are you in that middle Master Point range and don’t know where you should sign up? Don’t worry. Just sign up on either list so we know you want to play. Depending on how many people sign up on each list, we will make sure you have a great pairing.

There will be more details to come later. But for now, please sign up!

Join us at the club December 5 and 7 for a great chance to earn upgraded points.

Points awarded will be 25% gold, 25% silver, 25% red, and 25% black.

Fee for these games is $12.

Joanie Fulton is setting up the jewelry sale at the club the week of November 13.

I am going to have a benefit for the families of Lahaina and Maui who lost everything in the devastating fires that destroyed Lahaina and Up Country on August 8th.

I have been making necklaces and earrings from fresh water pearls, semi precious stones, Swarovski crystals and beads. Liz Kurtz (my bridge partner) and others generously donated their bead collections to me, and Harlequin Bead Store has kindly given me a discount and much instruction and encouragement. Every penny of the proceeds will go to help these families.

I will set up in the area between the two rooms.

The next Unit game is Saturday, November 18. Let’s keep our successful separate section going! If we have at least 3 tables, you will once again have your own section.

Please email me if you plan to play (susie@susieleo.com). If you have a partner, go ahead and send both names. If you need a partner, send in your name so others can see it and contact you for the game. I will send out an updated list as we go along.
