Kim’s Address
Here is Kim’s address. 950 7th St. Springfield, OR. 97477. Spoke with him Friday evening and he is doing well though gets tired easily…as to be expected. He is looking forward to playing online one of these days.
Kim Update
Medical update on Kim. He has begun training for a marathon. Well, not quite. He is doing great. We will post his address here as soon as we get it from Kim so you can send him a card.
Virginia
We “previewed” Virginia’s 99th birthday on Saturday. She was playing online with Roy. Monday is the big day. Happy birthday, Virginia. We are so fortunate that you are part of our group.
Don’t miss the Seaside Regional coming up September 30 – October 6. This is a hugely popular event in a fabulous setting. Lots of opportunities for newer players to earn points, including gold. And for advanced players, expect your competition to be tough! We always see top players from around the Northwest and beyond at Seaside.
Also in September is Portland’s Fall Sectional, held in Wilsonville September 13 -15.

Saturday, August 17, is the Unit game. Let’s get LOTS of you registered so we can offer the back room to you again. We have three pairs signed up so far.
There is an additional attraction for you! Don is doing a post-mortem after play for 2 of the hands you will have just played. This is an incredible opportunity to learn some great bridge tips! Everyone is invited.
Please talk to your bridge buddies and get this game going strong. There is always room for you in the front room at the Open Game, but history shows that you have more fun in the back……just sayin’.
