Kim’s Address
Here is Kim’s address. 950 7th St. Springfield, OR. 97477. Spoke with him Friday evening and he is doing well though gets tired easily…as to be expected. He is looking forward to playing online one of these days.
Kim Update
Medical update on Kim. He has begun training for a marathon. Well, not quite. He is doing great. We will post his address here as soon as we get it from Kim so you can send him a card.
Virginia
We “previewed” Virginia’s 99th birthday on Saturday. She was playing online with Roy. Monday is the big day. Happy birthday, Virginia. We are so fortunate that you are part of our group.
Our Unit Game is Saturday, October 24. Nice breakfast starts at 9am, game at 9:30.
349ers: Contact Susie Leo if you plan on playing (susie@susieleo.com). We always try to offer a 349er game, but we need enough people, so let Susie know.
This is a great opportunity for 299ers to earn silver at a nearby venue.
It’s a fun event with very friendly hosts and nice snacks!
Here’s the flyer:

Don has announced that long-time club member Dorlon Himber has passed away.
We are all saddened by the passing of this kind, gentle man. It was always a pleasure to come to his table and be greeted so sweetly, every time. We’ll miss him. Godspeed, Dorlon, wherever your next journey takes you.
Here are some additional thoughts from our club members:
Bless his heart. What a kind man. I am so sad that sweet man is gone. Happy trails, dear Dorlon.
That’s so sad. We will miss that sweet man.
So sorry to hear – condolences to his family.
This is sad news. I was just thinking about him today as we sat down at table 2 about how I hadn’t seen him for a while. He will be missed.
He was one of the many wonderful and kind members at our club. We will miss him for sure.
So sad to hear that Dorlon has passed. I knew him to be very sweet and a lovely man. He will be missed.
I also want to send thoughts to Roy. You sat across the table from Dorlon for many years. I heard only kind words and support from you to Dorlon. This must be especially difficult for you. You have lost a long time friend and I wish you peace as you move forward.
I want to send my condolences to Dorlon’s family and to Roy. Dorlon was a loyal Oregon women’s sports fan and I often saw him at games. Even though he didn’t remember me, I met him in the 70s. I worked in the central office of Tiffany Drug Company and we bought all our comics, magazines and paperbacks from his dad’s business. Dorlon was a kind soul. I will miss seeing him.
