It would be hard—dare we say—impossible, to imagine a player who has contributed more towards educating developing players than marylou Bert. Some number of years ago, marylou began offering a Friday supervised play to a select number of newer players. The time and energy that she has put into that project is impressive, to say the least.

marylou is also one of the primary presenters in EBC’s Bridge Enhancement Series.Recently, marylou led a class on Defense that produced a ten-table turnout. Folks could not stop talking about how well done and how helpful her presentation was.

When we went to the ACBL archives for its listing of the earliest recorded Life Masters for Unit 479, marylou was, of course, listed.

Having a player of marylou’s talent and ability willing to make herself available for mentoring emerging and newer players is very special. Our Bridge community is indeed fortunate.
